The visitors recovered through a series of lower-order partnerships. Sanghavi, playing only his third first-class match, anchored the innings with an unbeaten 57 off 167 balls. He formed an unbroken 49-run stand for the tenth wicket with Pradeep Dadhe, who remained 22 not out.
Other contributions included 28 runs each from Saurabh Nawale and Siddhesh Veer, while Rajvardhan Hangargekar added 24. Bengal's Shahbaz Ahmed finished with figures of three for 34.
Bengal head coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla remained confident despite the deficit, stating that there are still two days of play left in the match.
