Ayushmann Khurrana receives extortion threat from person claiming Bishnoi gang link

The actor was reportedly sent an audio clip demanding crores of rupees, following similar threats made to Tusshar Kapoor.

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has reportedly received a threatening audio message from an individual claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to reports by The Assam Tribune, Mathrubhumi and The Times of India.

The sender of the audio clip allegedly demanded crores of rupees from the actor. Police are currently reviewing the recording and comparing the voice to existing samples in their database to identify the caller.

This incident follows a recent threat against actor Tusshar Kapoor, where a caller identifying as Harry Boxer demanded Rs 5 crore. In that instance, preliminary investigations suggested the audio might be fake as the voice did not match official records of the alleged gang member.

The threats come after a firing incident on October 18 involving actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai's Juhu area. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for that attack, and police have arrested 13 people in connection with it.

Other industry figures, including Ranveer Singh, Rohit Shetty, and singer B Praak, have also reportedly been targeted by similar extortion attempts. Security measures have been increased among several celebrities following these developments.
