Revolt Motors to supply 1,100 electric bikes to Bihar Police

The company aims to complete the delivery of the BlazeX commuter motorcycles in Patna by this month.

Revolt Motors, a subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd, has secured an order to supply 1,100 units of its BlazeX electric motorcycle to the Bihar Police, according to a Daily Excelsior report on Wednesday.

The company stated that while the official deadline for deliveries in Patna is January next year, it is working to fulfill the order within November.

The BlazeX model features a range of 150 km on a single charge and can be powered using a standard 10A socket. It also includes a removable battery and inbuilt GPS for vehicle tracking.

The motorcycle is equipped with under-seat storage to hold the charger and other equipment. Revolt Motors noted that electric bikes provide lower running and maintenance costs for organisations compared to petrol vehicles.

Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd, said that securing this order is a significant step for the company. She added that institutional adoption provides an opportunity to test products in real-world operating environments.

The company said the order marks an expansion of its business from individual riders into public-sector mobility and law enforcement requirements.
