The UK-based company plans to create 500 skilled jobs while Tonbo Imaging proposes new defence technology facilities in the state.
UK-based Martin-Baker will invest Rs 380 crore in Karnataka to set up a manufacturing facility for aircraft ejection seats, according to Moneycontrol.
Minister for Large and Medium Industries MB Patil said on November 4 that the company has requested 10 acres of land in the fifth phase of the Harohalli Industrial Area.
The proposed facility is expected to generate more than 500 highly skilled jobs, and Patil stated that the land will be allotted at the earliest.
Patil said the investment will strengthen indigenous manufacturing capabilities and support local supply chains and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities in the state.
Separately, Tonbo Imaging India Ltd has proposed investments in Karnataka, including a High-Power Microwave (HPM) manufacturing facility in the Bengaluru Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) area.
The company has also sought 130 acres at Mulwada in Vijayapura district for a testing, evaluation and demonstration facility for its technologies.
