Karnataka to launch Yuva Udyoga Setu platform on November 4

The new platform aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers across various industries in the state.

The Karnataka government will launch Yuva Udyoga Setu on November 4 to connect job seekers with employers, according to the Deccan Herald.

Medical Education and Skill Development Minister Sharanprakash R Patil announced the initiative on Tuesday during the second edition of the Bengaluru Skill Summit 2026.

Patil stated that the platform will allow industries to access information regarding the talent pool available in the state.

The Minister said that skilling programmes should be measured by outcomes such as job placements, career growth, and entrepreneurship rather than just the number of people trained.

He added that every skilling initiative needs a defined route toward securing jobs, starting businesses, and maintaining livelihoods.

Home and IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge noted that the state's talent advantage relies on improving education and skilling at the grassroots level to build a strong pipeline.

Industries Minister M B Patil said the Karnataka Industrial Policy 2025-30 intends to attract Rs 7.5 lakh crore in investments and generate 20 lakh jobs by 2030.
