Yash's Ravana generates buzz in early Ramayana: Rise of a Legend screenings

Audiences have praised the scale and performances of the Rs 4,000 crore epic ahead of its November 5 release.

Early screenings of Nitesh Tiwari’s 'Ramayana: Rise of a Legend' have generated significant buzz ahead of its November 5 release, according to The Times of India. The film, which has a budget of Rs 4,000 crore, features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.

Viewers have highlighted Yash's portrayal of the demon king Ravana as a major talking point. One social media user described Yash as the film's showstopper, noting his powerful screen presence and commanding personality. Other viewers praised the action sequences, specifically the battle between Ravana and Jatayu, calling it a breathtaking scene.

The film has also received appreciation for its visual effects and scale. One international viewer compared the experience to a fantasy film, while another noted that the visual effects and CGI in the opening portions were at par with 'Lord Of The Rings'.

Performances by the principal cast have also been noted, with viewers describing Ranbir Kapoor's Rama as calm and graceful, and Sai Pallavi's Sita as bringing warmth and soul. The film has a runtime of 195 minutes and has received a U certificate in India.

Advance bookings for the film have reportedly crossed Rs 25 crore at PVR INOX, while worldwide opening-weekend advance bookings have exceeded Rs 100 crore. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release in IMAX in both Hindi and English.
