Playback singer Kanika Kapoor has announced her separation from her husband, businessman Gautam Hathiramani, according to reports by Deccan Chronicle, The Sentinel and Moneycontrol. The singer shared the news through an Instagram Story, stating that the decision followed much thought and consideration.
The 48-year-old singer, known for songs such as 'Baby Doll' and 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan', has not disclosed the circumstances surrounding the separation or confirmed if they have filed for divorce. She requested kindness and respect for her privacy as the couple moves forward separately.
Kapoor and Hathiramani married in May 2022 during a ceremony in London. The singer had previously removed photographs of their wedding celebrations from her social media accounts.
Kapoor was previously married to Raj Chandok and the couple separated in 2012. She is a mother of three children, including daughters Aayana and Samara, and a son, Yuvraj.
