Andhra Pradesh releases notification for 2,721 teacher recruitment posts
The APTRT–2026 recruitment process will begin with online applications opening on November 11.
The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has issued a notification for 2,721 teacher positions under the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Recruitment Test (APTRT)–2026, according to The Hindu. Online applications for these roles will be open from November 11 to November 30, 2026.
The vacancies comprise 2,111 regular School Assistant and Secondary Grade Teacher posts, 350 Special Education teacher positions, and 260 posts in various educational societies. Within the Special Education category, there are 150 School Assistant and 200 Secondary Grade Teacher roles.
The 260 positions in educational societies include Physical Education Teachers, Physical Directors, Principals, Trained Graduate Teachers, and Post Graduate Teachers. Candidates can access details regarding subject-wise vacancies, age limits, and syllabus on the official website.
The recruitment examinations will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from December 20, 2026, to January 13, 2027. An online mock test will be available on December 5, and hall tickets can be downloaded starting December 14.
The department will release the initial answer key two days after the final exam. Candidates may submit objections within seven days of that release, after which the final answer key will be published seven days later.
The merit list is expected to be announced seven days after the final answer key is released. The department has provided information bulletins and help desk details on its official website.
