CENTAC opens applications for 62 MBBS and BDS stray vacancy seats

Candidates can apply for unfilled medical and dental seats in Puducherry private colleges from 02 to 08 November 2026.

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has opened the application process for the Special Stray Round counselling for MBBS and BDS courses in private medical and dental colleges in Puducherry, according to Medical Dialogues.

UG-NEET-qualified candidates can submit fresh applications for unfilled seats between 02 and 08 November 2026, until 5.00 pm. A total of 62 seats are vacant across three institutions, including 35 MBBS Management Quota seats at SVMCRI, 26 BDS Management Quota seats at SVDC, and one BDS Government Quota seat at MINDS, Mahe.

Applicants must submit their willingness, select course preferences, and pay the full tuition fee to participate. Course preferences can be submitted from 04 to 08 November 2026. Existing merit lists will be exhausted before fresh candidates are considered for allotment.

The committee noted that if a student receives a seat in this round but does not take up the admission, the full tuition fee for that course will be lost. For SC, ST, EBC, and GSS candidates allotted under the Government Quota, the registration fee of Rs 50,000 for MBBS and BDS will be forfeited.

Those who fail to join an allotted seat will also be barred from future counselling rounds and prevented from appearing in the next year's UG NEET exam. Candidates already on the Round 3 allotment list or those admitted through All India Quota or State Quota are ineligible to participate.
