TNPSC extends Group 4 recruitment application deadline to November 8
The registration deadline for the Combined Civil Services Examination IV was extended after the upper age limit was increased by five years.
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has extended the registration deadline for the Combined Civil Services Examination IV (Group IV Services) 2026, according to a report by Hindustan Times. The new deadline for candidates to apply is November 8, 2026, at 11.59 P.M.
The extension follows a Government Order dated October 30, 2026, which increased the upper age limit by five years for all categories. The original notification for the recruitment was published on October 6, 2026.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 6,574 posts. The examination is scheduled to be held on January 10, 2027, in a single shift from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
The Combined Civil Services Examination - IV will consist of a single-stage written examination. Candidates will face 200 questions for a total of 300 marks, with a duration of 3 hours.
A correction window for the applications will open on November 9 and close on November 11, 2026. The application fee for the recruitment is ₹100, which must be paid through online modes such as UPI, debit card, credit card, or internet banking.
The merit list will be prepared based on the total marks secured by candidates in the written examination. Interested applicants can apply through the official TNPSC website at tnpsc.gov.in.
