CENTAC opens applications for 62 MBBS and BDS special stray round seats
UG-NEET qualified candidates can apply for vacant medical and dental seats in Puducherry private colleges until November 8.
The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has opened the application process for the Special Stray Round counselling for MBBS and BDS courses in private medical and dental colleges. According to a report by Medical Dialogues, UG-NEET qualified candidates can submit fresh applications for unfilled seats from 02 to 08 November 2026, 5.00 pm.
A total of 62 seats are vacant across three institutions. These include 35 MBBS Management Quota seats at SVMCRI, Puducherry, 26 BDS Management Quota seats at SVDC, Puducherry, and one BDS Government Quota seat at MINDS, Mahe. Unfilled Government Quota seats will be converted into Management Quota seats after the existing merit list is exhausted.
Candidates must submit their willingness, course preferences, and pay the full tuition fee to participate. Those who previously paid a registration fee must pay the remaining balance. Course preferences can be submitted between 04 and 08 November 2026, 5.00 pm.
The committee stated that if a student receives a seat in this round but does not join, the full tuition fee for that course will be lost. For SC, ST, EBC, and GSS candidates in Puducherry allotted under the Government Quota, the Rs 50,000 registration fee will be forfeited.
Candidates who fail to join an allotted seat will also be barred from future counselling rounds and will be unable to sit for the UG NEET exam next year. Eligibility excludes candidates already in the Round 3 or Stray Round allotment lists or those admitted through All India or State Quota lists.
