The Delhi Police have located and recovered 205 missing children over a seven-month period, according to Telangana Today. Of the total recovered, 154 were girls and 51 were boys.
The police stated on Wednesday that some children were reunited with their families within one to two hours of being reported missing. The recovery effort also included children who had been lost for five to six years.
A senior police officer said the recoveries were the result of sustained efforts by Assistant Sub-Inspector Shankar Lal Rar and Head Constable Ratan Singh. The two personnel jointly managed the cases and followed leads to find the children.
The team continued to pursue leads and follow up on cases even after five or six years had passed. This work eventually allowed the children to be reunited with their families.
