FC Goa's recent campaign includes a 1-1 draw against Chennaiyin FC, a 1-1 draw against Sporting Club Delhi, and a 2-1 win over Inter Kashi. Goa will be without coach Gouramangi Singh, Aakash Sangwan, Harsh Patre, and Ronney Kharbudon.

Bengaluru FC will miss Shivaldo Singh due to injury, though they hope forward Mihailo Perovic can return following a fitness assessment. Bengaluru head coach Pep Munoz said the team will change their tactics and structure to face an opponent that plays differently.

Goa assistant coach Shameel Chembakath said the team needs to be defensively organised and improve end product in the final third. He added that the team must be brave when in possession.
