Former IAS officer Ripnar Lyngdoh was sworn in as the Meghalaya State Chief Information Commissioner on November 5 at Lok Bhavan in Shillong, according to reports by The Sentinel and Meghalaya Monitor.

As Chief Information Commissioner, she will head the Meghalaya State Information Commission and exercise powers under the Right to Information Act, 2005.
