The revised rates for ghee, butter and paneer were announced on November 4 and came into effect across the state on November 5. This follows a previous price hike in July 2026, when rates increased by 10 per cent.
Ghee prices saw significant increases, with the one-litre sachet rising from Rs 715 to Rs 850. The one-litre PET jar now costs Rs 870, up from Rs 735, while the one-litre tin rose from Rs 750 to Rs 870.
Larger ghee packs also became costlier, as the five-litre pack rose from Rs 3,575 to Rs 4,250 and the 15-litre tin increased from Rs 11,625 to Rs 14,000. Butter prices were also revised, with the 100-gm blister pack increasing from Rs 60 to Rs 90.
For 500-gm butter packs, the price of salted butter rose from Rs 310 to Rs 380, while unsalted butter went from Rs 330 to Rs 390. Paneer prices changed as well, with the 200-gm pack moving from Rs 96 to Rs 115 and the one-kg pack increasing from Rs 480 to Rs 485.
These changes follow earlier increases in the prices of milk and curd by more than Rs 8 per litre by the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF).
