Adani Ports to acquire European storage firm Evos for €2.56 billion
The all-cash deal for the Netherlands-based operator will expand the company's global footprint to 28 ports and terminals.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) will acquire a 100 per cent stake in Netherlands-based Evos B.V. from Igneo Infrastructure Partners, according to reports by Business Standard, The Hindu and BusinessLine. The all-cash transaction is valued at an enterprise value of €2.56 billion.
The acquisition of the European liquid storage operator, which is the second-largest independent player in its sector, carries an equity value of €1.18 billion. For the 2025 calendar year, Evos reported revenue of €392 million and an EBITDA of €219 million, representing a 56 per cent margin.
The deal will be financed through debt and remains subject to regulatory approvals and works council consultation. MUFG has committed to providing up to €2.8 billion in financing as the sole underwriter for the transaction.
Evos operates eight port-based terminals across the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Malta. These facilities include 452 tanks and 63 vessel and barge berths, serving hubs such as the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp region and Hamburg.
APSEZ managing director Karan Adani said the company is delighted to welcome Evos into its portfolio to gain a significant presence in global liquid storage and energy hubs. He added that the firm looks forward to supporting Europe's sustainable energy transition.
The transaction expands the global footprint of APSEZ to 28 ports and terminals across 10 countries and adds a liquids business with an average commercial occupancy of 99 per cent.
