Odisha implements major reshuffle of senior IAS officers

The Government of Odisha’s General Administration & Public Grievance Department has issued a notification regarding new postings for several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, according to Pragativadi.
The changes, ordered by the Governor on November 5, 2026, involve several key departments across the state.
Bishnupada Sethi, IAS (RR-1995), who was the Chairman of the Odisha Forest Development Corporation and Chief Administrator, KBK, is now the Officer on Special Duty in the General Administration & Public Grievance Department.
Girish S.N., IAS (RR-2002), has been reassigned as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government, Health & Family Welfare Department, moving from his former role in the Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department.
Aswathy S., IAS (RR-2003), has been appointed as the Special Secretary to the Government, Finance Department. She will retain her additional charge as the Chief Executive Officer of the State Institute for Transformative Initiatives, Odisha (SITI-Odisha).
Roopa Mishra, IAS (RR-2004), has been appointed as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department following her return from central deputation.
