Rishabh Pant to miss third India A game against New Zealand A

Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant will remain unavailable for the final unofficial Test as Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja join the squad.

Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant will miss the third and final four-day unofficial Test between India A and New Zealand A starting on Saturday in Lincoln, according to the Hindustan Times.

Pant is currently recovering from a side strain at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. He did not participate in the first two matches, which both ended in draws.

India T20I vice-captain Tilak Varma has been named as Pant's replacement for the squad. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja will play in the third game to prepare for the upcoming Test series.

The first official Test in Wellington begins on November 19. It appears unlikely that the 29-year-old Pant will participate in the two-game series.

In the ongoing five-match ODI series, New Zealand batter Devon Conway has been ruled out of the remaining games after sustaining a concussion during training on Tuesday. Nick Kelly will join the squad in Wellington to replace him, while Auckland Aces batter Dale Phillips will join the New Zealand A squad for the final four-day match.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) stated that Matt Henry has been cleared of concussion following the fielding mishap involving Conway.
