Titan net profit doubles to ₹2,393 crore in September quarter

The Tata Group company reported a 113 per cent year-on-year jump in profit, aided by a one-time gain and jewellery demand.

Titan Company Ltd reported a 113 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹2,393 crore for the September quarter, according to reports by Mint, Financial Express and Moneycontrol. The profit for the period ended September 30, 2026, rose from ₹1,054 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company's earnings were supported by a ₹671 crore one-time gain from revaluing a financial liability and demand for higher-margin diamond-studded jewellery. Excluding that specific gain, the profit grew 54 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,722 crore.

The jewellery segment, which represents over 80 per cent of revenue, grew 24 per cent to ₹17,495 crore. While growth was lower than the 39 per cent seen in the previous quarter, the company noted that the timing of festivals pushed some purchases into the December quarter.

Managing director Ajoy Chawla said that consumer demand held up well despite a shift in the festive calendar. He added that the jewellery business grew through design-led collections and consumer offers.

The watches business saw a 27 per cent year-on-year growth in total income to approximately ₹1,881 crore. The eyewear segment also grew 28 per cent to reach a total income of approximately ₹281 crore.

The international jewellery business reported revenue of ₹1,152 crore, representing a 105 per cent increase year-on-year. During the quarter, the jewellery division added 42 net stores in India.
