White House warns Democrats against attempts to impeach President Trump
The administration declared that efforts to undo the president's policy agenda over the next two years will fail.
The White House has issued a defiant warning against Democrats following their gains in the 2026 midterm elections, according to the Times of India. In a 13-point statement on X, the administration claimed that the opposition would fail in its attempts to reverse President Donald Trump's policies.
The statement accused the Democrats of planning to roll back measures regarding border security, immigration, energy, and taxation. It also alleged that the party intends to reinstate race-based diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programmes and restore medical procedures for transgender minors.
The White House further warned of potential efforts to expand the Supreme Court and initiate new impeachment proceedings against the president. The administration described previous attempts to remove Trump as failures and stated that 'President Trump will never stop fighting.'
President Trump acknowledged that the conflict with Iran contributed to the Republican Party's performance in the elections, noting the impact of rising petrol prices. However, he maintained that military action against Tehran was required to stop the country from gaining nuclear weapons.
While the president indicated he is open to working with Democrats, he warned he would use his presidential veto on legislative proposals he disagrees with. He also stated that impeachment attempts could damage the Democratic Party and dismissed such proceedings as being without justification.
