Worker crushed to death at Wilson Garden workshop

A 26-year-old bus painter died after being trapped between two buses inside a painting chamber in Bengaluru.

A 26-year-old bus painter, M.D. Irfan, was crushed to death inside a workshop in the Wilson Garden Police Station limits on Tuesday, according to The Hindu.

The deceased, a native of Bihar, was working at S.M. Kannappa Automobiles when the incident occurred on November 3 around 10 a.m.

The complainant, Mohammed Sayum, who was a bus painter at the workshop and the uncle of the deceased, alleged that supervisor Sanjeev Gandhi was driving a bus parked in front of the painting chamber.

The complaint states that Gandhi rammed the chamber doors with the bus, causing the doors to open and hit a new bus inside, trapping Irfan between the two vehicles.

Irfan was rushed to a hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead after he suffered severe injuries.

The Wilson Garden police have registered a case against the supervisor following accusations of negligent driving, and further investigation is under way.
