Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand has instructed officials to speed up the building of Academic Block-I at the Young India Police School (YIPS) in Manchirevula. According to The Hindu, the goal is to allow students to use the new facility starting from the next academic year.

The DGP requested modifications to the classrooms and laboratories to ensure they meet the school's needs and provide a good learning environment. He stated that the institution intends to offer quality education to both children of police personnel and the general public.
Currently, the school has 345 students enrolled up to Class VI. Officials are preparing to accommodate approximately 720 students in the coming academic year, with a long-term target of 1,000 students.
Mr. Anand said that discipline and career guidance are vital for children and expressed his belief that the school will offer an environment free from drug influence. He noted the government's objective to provide international-standard education from nursery to Class XII.
