The bonus for the 2025-26 financial year will be distributed through cash and provident fund deposits ahead of Diwali.
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved a 30-day bonus for state employees for the 2025-26 financial year, according to Moneycontrol on Thursday.
The decision applies to non-gazetted state government employees, staff at local bodies, district panchayats, and educational institutions. Daily-wage workers will receive a bonus of up to Rs 1,184.
Under the new order, 25 per cent of the bonus will be paid in cash, while the remaining 75 per cent will be credited to provident fund accounts.
Employees who have already retired or are approaching retirement will be eligible to receive the entire bonus amount in cash.
The announcement comes ahead of the Diwali festival.
