Former Telangana CM KCR to receive land survey notice soon
Revenue officials in Siddipet district are expected to serve notices to K Chandrasekhar Rao and his family within five days.
Revenue officials are expected to serve land survey notices to former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members within the next four to five days, according to The New Indian Express.
The notices are part of an ongoing land re-survey in Erravalli village of Markook mandal in Siddipet district. So far, 120 farmers in Erravalli, the village adopted by KCR, have received notices.
The survey follows a report submitted to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, which stated that Survey No 325 in Erravalli should cover 388 acres, but only 343 acres were accounted for. This left 45 acres unaccounted for.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had initially asked officials to survey the missing 45 acres around the farmhouse of KCR and serve him a notice. The government has since decided to cover both Erravalli and Venkatapur under the Bhu Bharati re-survey.
Residents of neighbouring Venkatapur had previously objected to the survey, claiming some of their lands were merged with Erravalli. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy assured them the survey would establish boundaries for both villages, leading them to withdraw their protest.
