The Telangana cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, has sanctioned Rs 4,193 crore to fix and rehabilitate the Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP). According to reports by Urban Acres and The Times of India, the work will adhere to National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) guidelines.

Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy stated that the cabinet discussed the proposed repairs for the three structures in detail.
