Cristiano Ronaldo owns record-breaking properties in Lisbon and Madeira

The footballer's Portuguese portfolio includes a $7 million Lisbon apartment and an $8 million converted nightclub in Madeira.

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo owns several high-value properties in Portugal, including a record-breaking apartment in Lisbon and a converted building in Madeira, according to the Times of India.

In 2018, Ronaldo purchased a three-bedroom apartment in Lisbon for approximately $7 million. At the time, the property set a record as the most expensive apartment ever sold in the Portuguese capital.

The Lisbon residence features hardwood flooring, large glass surfaces, a private gym, spa facilities, an indoor swimming pool, and a rooftop pool.

A year later, in 2019, Ronaldo acquired a seven-storey building in Funchal, the capital of Madeira. The property was previously a warehouse and nightclub and cost around $8 million to convert into a modern residence.

Located near the waterfront, the Madeira home reportedly serves as a full-time residence for Ronaldo's mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, and his brother.

Ronaldo's international property portfolio also includes residences in Spain, Italy, England, and Saudi Arabia, as well as a former apartment in New York's Trump Tower.
