The Jammu and Kashmir government has approved two days of special casual leave for certain employees posted in the Kashmir division to celebrate Diwali in Jammu, according to reports by Kashmir Observer and Daily Excelsior.
The General Administration Department issued a government order granting this leave to PM Package, migrant, and Jammu-based staff working across various government departments.
The sanctioned leave is scheduled for November 7, 2026, which is a Saturday, and November 9, 2026, which is a Monday.
The order applies specifically to those employees within the Kashmir division who are travelling to Jammu for the festival.
