Royal Enfield expands Flying Flea electric motorcycle brand to Chennai

The company plans to establish 14 sales and service touchpoints in the city to support its electric motorcycle business.

Royal Enfield has expanded its electric mobility brand, Flying Flea, to Chennai, making it the fourth Indian market for the brand after Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune, according to Mint.

The company intends to set up 14 customer touchpoints in Chennai, consisting of two company-operated stores in OMR and Adyar and 12 outlets through existing Royal Enfield dealerships.

These outlets will cover areas including Anna Nagar, Tambaram, Pallikaranai, Avadi, Tondiarpet and Nandanam, allowing customers to view the Flying Flea C6 and arrange test rides.

The expansion brings the brand's planned retail and service network to 40 locations across four cities. The company has identified 11 service centres in Chennai, supported by technical teams, and every Flying Flea C6 will include 24x7 roadside assistance.

The Flying Flea C6 is priced at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Under a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) subscription model, the initial vehicle price is reduced to ₹1.99 lakh.

The motorcycle is available in Storm Black, Flea Green and Parachute White. Its design includes a circular LED headlamp, slim bodywork, an aluminium girder front fork and an exposed forged-aluminium frame.
