Odegaard scores as Arsenal beat Hull City to extend lead

The captain's 72nd-minute goal at the Emirates Stadium moved Mikel Arteta's side to 27 points in the Premier League.

Arsenal secured a 1-0 victory against Hull City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, according to reports from The News Mill and Hindustan Times. Captain Martin Odegaard scored the decisive goal in the 72nd minute to help the team strengthen its position at the top of the Premier League table.

The winning goal came after Hull City goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis parried a shot from Noni Madueke. Odegaard reacted fastest to the rebound to find the net, marking his first goal since September.

Arsenal dominated much of the match with 66.9 per cent possession and 21 total shots, 10 of which were on target. Hull City recorded seven attempts with two on target but could not find an equaliser.

Manager Mikel Arteta introduced Viktor Gyokeres, Mikel Merino, and Eberechi Eze during the second half to maintain the attacking threat. Following the win, Arsenal have accumulated 27 points from 10 matches.

The victory leaves Arsenal six points clear of second-placed Manchester City. Manchester City are scheduled to play Nottingham Forest later on Saturday.
