Naidu calls for unity and harmony during Diwali celebrations

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister urged citizens to strengthen social bonds and spread happiness during the festival of lights.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called on the public to celebrate Diwali by fostering mutual cooperation and social harmony, according to the Deccan Chronicle.

Extending greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu people globally, Naidu wished them peace, prosperity, and good health.

The Chief Minister stated that the festival represents the triumph of good over evil and marks the liberation of the world from the tyranny of the demon king Narakasura.

Naidu suggested that the lamps lit during the occasion should spread light throughout society and that bringing joy to others should be a core part of the celebrations.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also shared Diwali greetings with people across the country, noting that the lighting of lamps signifies the return of joy to humanity.

Pawan Kalyan said the coalition government is spreading development and welfare throughout the state, adding that recent local body election victories reflected public support for these programmes.
