Trump offers White House press secretary role to UFC chief Dana White

The US President suggested White bring several prominent fighters to assist him in the role, according to WION and The Times of India.

US President Donald Trump has publicly offered the position of White House press secretary to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) chief Dana White. Trump made the offer in a Truth Social post on Saturday, describing White as a "violent Fighter and Warrior."

According to WION, Trump suggested White bring several prominent fighters as assistants, including Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris. Trump noted that some of these individuals are not from the United States.

White responded on Saturday by stating, "I got a lot of jobs already." He also shared an Instagram photo of himself behind the White House press briefing room lectern with the caption, "On to the next chapter."

The press secretary position has been vacant since October 16, following the departure of Katie Zacharia after a five-day tenure. WION reported that CNN, citing a source, stated White had declined the idea due to existing professional commitments, including his roles with the UFC, Power Slap, and Zuffa Boxing.

White, who has been a longtime ally of Trump, said during a news conference in London that he would travel to Washington on Monday for a meeting with the president. He said, "I'm sure we'll have something to talk about after that."
