Houthis claim six attacks on Saudi Arabia targeting Aramco and Riyadh airport

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said missile and drone operations targeted oil facilities and military positions across the kingdom.

Houthi rebels launched six military operations targeting strategic installations in Saudi Arabia, including King Khalid International Airport and Aramco facilities, according to reports by Times of India and News18. The attacks involved the use of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed responsibility for the strikes, which he said were in response to Saudi aggression against Yemen. Saree stated the first operation targeted the Riyadh airport, oil storage tanks, and an Aramco distillation tower. He also claimed the second operation hit Aramco facilities in Khurais, while a third struck Pumping Station No. 8 in the Dawadmi area.

The remaining operations targeted military positions, including a National Guard camp in Najran and troop concentrations in the Al-Jawf and Marib Governorates. Saree alleged these operations caused several casualties among Saudi military personnel, though these claims have not been independently verified.

The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted and destroyed two cruise missiles over Riyadh and the southern region, as well as two Houthi missiles fired towards the capital. Witnesses reported hearing loud explosions in Riyadh following an early-warning alert from the Civil Defence.

In a separate post on X, Saree alleged that Saudi Arabia carried out 105 airstrikes and missile attacks on Yemen over the preceding 24 hours. He claimed these strikes targeted several regions, including Sanaa and Taiz, and brought the total number of such attacks since the escalation began to 4,369.
