Kapil Mishra accuses Kejriwal of planning campaign against Diwali and Sanatan Dharma
The BJP leader alleged that a campaign targeting Hindu festivals is being orchestrated at the Aam Aadmi Party national convenor's residence.
Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra has accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal of planning a campaign to target the Hindu festival of Diwali and Sanatan Dharma under the pretext of pollution, according to ANI.
Mishra claimed in a post on X that a meeting was called at Kejriwal's residence to launch a campaign using leaders and paid celebrities to run a targeted narrative against Hindus and their festival.
The BJP leader further alleged that the pollution in Delhi and Punjab is the result of years of corruption under Kejriwal. He urged the former Delhi Chief Minister not to have leaders hurl abuse at Sanatan Dharma.
AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj responded by accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Central government of evading responsibility for pollution in North India for the last 10 years.
Bharadwaj stated that the Central government should work on pollution as many of the world's most polluted cities are in North Indian states including UP, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Punjab.
The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) invoked Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) across Delhi-NCR on Friday, two days before Diwali, due to concerns over deteriorating pollution levels.
