Tata Motors records highest monthly sales in October 2026
Combined domestic and international passenger vehicle volumes reached 75,426 units, marking the first time the company crossed 75,000 units in a month.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in October 2026, according to a report by RushLane. The company's combined domestic and international volumes reached 75,426 units, an increase of 23.05 per cent over the 61,295 units sold in October 2025.
Domestic passenger vehicle sales grew by 20.87 per cent to 73,894 units. This was an increase of 12,760 units compared to the 61,134 units sold in October 2025. Domestic volumes also rose by 7.39 per cent from 68,810 units in September 2026.
Electric vehicle (EV) sales reached 16,244 units in October, representing a 74.93 per cent increase over the 9,286 units sold a year earlier. The Punch.ev became the first standalone EV product to cross the 5,000-unit monthly sales milestone.
EVs accounted for approximately 21.54 per cent of total passenger vehicle sales in October, up from 15.15 per cent in October 2025. The company stated that demand for both electric and CNG vehicles is exceeding available supply.
Passenger vehicle exports rose to 1,532 units in October, compared to 161 units in October 2025. This represents a 9.43 per cent increase from the 1,400 units exported in September 2026.
