Nantucket mansion sells for $15.25 million after restoration work

The historic Hadwen-Wright House in Massachusetts more than tripled its 2014 sale price following significant infrastructure improvements.

The historic Hadwen-Wright House at 94 Main Street in Nantucket, Massachusetts, was sold for $15.25 million on October 27, 2026, according to a report by the Times of India. The property was purchased by a trust represented by John E. Kozlowski.

The mansion, which features Greek Revival architecture, previously sold for $4.7 million in October 2014. The residence was designed by builder-architect Frederick Brown Coleman and commissioned by whaling merchant William Hadwen.

Restoration work on the property included updating mechanical systems, redesigning the kitchen, and rebuilding the basement's original brick flooring. During the renovation, a brick-lined cistern containing water was discovered beneath a slate slab and was preserved with a glass-covered opening.

The 6,106 square foot home includes five bedrooms, four levels, and two domes. One dome is located above the primary suite, while a smaller one crowns a landing near the staircase.

The property was listed for $15.5 million on August 5, 2026, and went under agreement the following day before the final sale closed in October.
