Andhra Pradesh appoints three-member authority to manage TTD
The specified authority will oversee the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams until a new trust board is formed or one year passes.
The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday established a three-member specified authority to manage the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) following the end of the previous trust board's term, according to reports by Deccan Chronicle and The Hindu.
TTD executive officer Muddada Ravichandra will lead the authority as chairman. He will be joined by Finance Department Secretary V. Vinay Chand and Revenue (Endowments) Department Secretary (FAC) K.
Kanna Babu as members.
The appointment was made under Section 137 of the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987. This follows the conclusion of the tenure of the trust board previously headed by B.R. Naidu.
The new authority is tasked with performing all duties and exercising the powers of the TTD Board of Trustees. This arrangement will remain in place for one year or until a new board is constituted, whichever occurs first.
The order, issued via G.O. Ms. No. 658 in the name of the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, takes effect immediately.
