BRS launches North Telangana tour to target Congress over agrarian distress

Party working president KT Rama Rao is conducting public meetings and field visits to highlight farmers' grievances and government policy failures.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has launched a political campaign across North Telangana to highlight agrarian distress and the grievances of farmers, according to Telangana Today. Party working president KT Rama Rao began a series of public meetings and field visits on Sunday in Adilabad.

The campaign, titled "Rythu Garjana", aims to highlight the failed promises and betrayal of farmers by the Revanth Reddy government. Rama Rao is also meeting families of farmers who died by suicide due to mounting debts and crop losses, while providing financial assistance to the bereaved.

The BRS has accused the Congress government of discontinuing the Rythu Bima scheme, which provided financial support to families of deceased farmers. The party is focusing on Adilabad, where the suicides of six farmers in October have become a political issue.

Rama Rao is scheduled to hold meetings in Nirmal on November 11 and Nizamabad on November 19. A Deeksha Diwas rally and public meeting will take place in Karimnagar on November 29.

BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao has also been conducting field visits in Siddipet, Gajwel, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and Kumuram Bheem Asifabad. He has highlighted issues including irrigation water and power supply, procurement delays, and delayed Rythu Bharosa financial assistance.

Other senior leaders, including former Ministers P Sabitha Indra Reddy and G Jagadish Reddy, are also touring their respective districts to reach out to farmers.
