Karnataka Minister alleges HD Kumaraswamy masterminded sting video release

Minister Krishna Byre Gowda claimed the Janata Dal (Secular) leader used his official residence and social media team for the operation.

Karnataka Minister for Revenue, Law, and Parliamentary Affairs Krishna Byre Gowda has alleged that Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy masterminded the release of a controversial sting video, according to ANI.

Byre Gowda claimed that Kumaraswamy's official residence was used to execute the operation, which involved his social media team and the transfer of funds.

The Minister stated the operation aimed to damage the credibility of the former Chief Minister while placing blame on the current Chief Minister.

Byre Gowda accused Kumaraswamy of engaging in character assassination and said such political machinations were a betrayal of the public.

Earlier on Monday, HD Kumaraswamy questioned Minister Priyank Kharge regarding the delay in constituting a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged sting operation.

Kumaraswamy alleged the state government was avoiding the investigation despite High Court directions and disputed police claims regarding the arrest of a man named Nitesh Kumar.
