Rahul Gandhi has no vision, will cause Congress wipeout, says Nitin Nabin

The BJP president criticised the Congress leader during a march in Kolkata against opposition protests over electoral roll revisions.

BJP president Nitin Nabin on Monday criticised Rahul Gandhi during the 'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao' (Save Democracy, End Anarchy) march in Kolkata. According to The Times of India, Nabin stated that Gandhi has no vision and will be responsible for the wipeout of the Congress party.

The march was organised as a counter-campaign against opposition protests regarding the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari and state BJP president Shamik Bhattacharya participated in the rally, which moved from College Street towards Dharmatala.

Nabin accused Gandhi of being part of a toolkit of foreign forces attempting to destabilise India. He also remarked that Gandhi should learn from his mistakes to avoid a situation where no one is left to mention the Congress name.

The BJP chief also targeted the INDIA bloc, noting electoral losses in various states. He claimed that the TMC was wiped out in Bengal, while Congress and AAP were wiped out in Delhi, and the RJD was wiped out in Bihar.

Nabin further stated that Uttar Pradesh would be next, claiming the BJP had defeated Akhilesh Yadav previously and would do so again in 2027. He described those with anarchist mindsets as being led by Gandhi.

BJP spokesperson Debjit Sarkar said the programme intended to counter efforts by opposition parties to create anarchy. The BJP has held similar events in various cities, alleging that opposition groups are spreading misinformation regarding the electoral roll revision.
