Yogi Adityanath says Ayodhya Deepotsav creates livelihood opportunities
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister stated that the festival provides economic momentum for potters, farmers, and small traders.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that the annual Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya are generating economic opportunities for potters, farmers, labourers, and small traders.
According to The Assam Tribune, the Chief Minister shared a post on the social media platform X stating that the grand festival in Ayodhya Dham is providing fresh momentum to the economy and strengthening faith.
Adityanath alleged that there was previously a lack of vision to connect Ayodhya's cultural potential with the prosperity of local artisans and traders. He said the double-engine government has dispelled this darkness.
The Chief Minister added that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the festival, which is illuminated by lakhs of diyas, is creating new avenues for employment and business.
Addressing a gathering in Gonda district, Adityanath said he would visit Ayodhya on November 7 for the 10th edition of Deepotsav. He claimed that Gonda, Balrampur, and Shravasti were previously among the most backward and dirtiest districts in the country.
He noted that the region previously faced issues such as potholes, unemployment, and insecurity, but highlighted development initiatives undertaken by the state government to transform these districts.
