H D Kumaraswamy is being intentionally targeted, says MoS Somanna
Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna has alleged that the police are being used to defame the popularity of Kumaraswamy.
Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna said on Monday that Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy is being intentionally targeted in an alleged sting operation case in Hassan.
According to the Deccan Herald, Somanna alleged that the police are being used to damage a person's popularity and that attempts are being made to make others tell lies.
Somanna described Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh as a competent and honest officer. He said it is wrong to make such officers lie or to use them to cover up mistakes through measures like transfers.
The Minister stated that an inquiry into the case is currently underway. He suggested that if the State government has any morality, it should hand the investigation over to the CBI to reveal who is guilty.
Somanna further claimed that a conspiracy is being hatched against Kumaraswamy because he raised certain issues and said the government should rectify its conduct.
