Telangana BJP chief says Shah's rally rejects Rahul Gandhi's politics
State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao claimed the large turnout for Amit Shah's march sends a message to the Congress party.
Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao claimed on Monday that the large turnout for Union Home Minister Amit Shah's 'Save Democracy' padayatra in Hyderabad shows the state rejects the 'politics of anarchy' practiced by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
According to a report by PTI in the Deccan Chronicle, Rao stated that the march drew lakhs of people. He contrasted this with an I.N.D.I.A. bloc protest in Delhi on Sunday, which he alleged failed to fill even half of Ramlila Maidan despite a month of campaigning.
Rao used social media to ask if Rahul Gandhi and the Congress would accept Shah's challenge to debate issues in Parliament. These issues include the electronic voting machines, the special intensive revision of electoral rolls, and other matters.
The BJP leader alleged that the Congress aligns with anti-India forces. He also directed a comment to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, telling him to show the turnout to his 'Abbu Jaan' in Delhi.
Rao described Shah as the 'Iron Man of New India' and credited him with the abrogation of Article 370 and the crushing of Naxalism. He said Shah's address and call for a BJP government in Telangana has provided new energy to the state BJP family.
