Actress Shafaq Naaz hits back at trolls questioning her religion

The actress responded to social media users who questioned her religious identity after she shared photos celebrating Karwa Chauth.

Actress Shafaq Naaz has responded to social media trolls who questioned her religious identity after she shared pictures of herself celebrating Karwa Chauth in Mumbai, according to Siasat.

The actress stated that applying sindoor does not change her religion and expressed disappointment regarding the abuse and disrespect she received in her comment section.

Naaz clarified that her husband, Zeeshan, is Muslim and said that applying sindoor does not mean she is no longer a Muslim.

She described religion as a personal matter and a question of individual belief, adding that she would not stop celebrating festivals such as Eid, Diwali and Holi.

The actress also expressed disappointment that trolls were making personal remarks and targeting her husband during the controversy.

Naaz, known for her roles in television shows such as 'Mahabharat' and 'Chidiya Ghar', said she would continue to live according to her beliefs.
