Telangana schools must update attendance on ISMS portal
The School Education Department has directed private schools to upload student and teacher attendance records for four months on the portal.
The Telangana School Education Department has instructed all private schools in the state to provide pending student and teacher attendance data for June, July, August and September 2026 on the Integrated School Management System (ISMS) portal, according to The Hindu.
School Education director and Samagra Shiksha state project director E. Naveen Nicolas has told headmasters and principals to ensure these records are updated regularly and on time.
Nicolas stated that monthly attendance must be uploaded to the ISMS portal by the first day of the following month. He noted that the Ministry of Education frequently requests attendance information from schools across the state, making accurate portal records essential.
District Educational Officers (DEOs) have been directed to oversee compliance by private management schools within their jurisdictions.
The department has also launched a new facility allowing parents of government school students to view Summative Assessment-I (SA-I) examination progress cards via WhatsApp. Nicolas has asked teachers and headmasters to inform parents about this service.
