Chief Minister Manik Saha has ordered swift action after a mob attacked Border Security Force personnel near the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday condemned an attack on three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel near the Indo-Bangladesh border. According to reports from ANI and The Hawk, the incident occurred on Monday in the Ashabari area of Sepahijala district.

The attackers allegedly used sticks and bamboo to strike the personnel and a government vehicle. It was also reported that the group attempted to snatch firearms from the injured soldiers. Company Commander Rohit was among those injured and was taken to the Boxanagar Primary Health Centre (PHC) for treatment.

Taking to X, Chief Minister Saha described the assault as unacceptable and a matter of grave concern. He stated that such violence against security forces deserves unequivocal condemnation and must be dealt with firmly under the law.

Saha has directed the concerned authorities to take stringent action against those responsible to ensure justice is delivered. Security has been tightened in the locality following the incident.
