ED raids seven locations in Telangana and Andhra over APPSC exam case

The searches involve allegations of irregularities in the manual evaluation of answer scripts for the APPSC Group-I Main Examination.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at seven premises in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Guntur district on Wednesday, according to reports from Telangana Today, The News Mill, and ANI.

The operation, launched by the ED's Hyderabad zonal office under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), relates to alleged irregularities in the manual evaluation of answer scripts for the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Group-I Main Examination.

The probe stems from a 2025 FIR filed by the Andhra Pradesh Police regarding irregularities between 2018 and 2021. Officials stated that Rs 1,14,32,312 was reportedly paid to a private party during the process.

The ED searched the premises of 1992-batch IPS officer P Sitarama Anjaneyulu, who served as the Secretary of the APPSC at the time. The searches also included the premises of Camsign Media Pvt. Ltd. and its managing director, P Madhusudhana Rao.

Other locations covered were Aavasa Resort Haailand in Chinakakani village, where answer scripts were reportedly kept, and TruGrader Services, a division of Stone Media Advisory Services Pvt Ltd. The agency also searched the premises of Akella Peri Srinivasa Rao, managing director of TruGrader Services, and Mahamkali Raghuram.

The search operations are currently in progress as ED teams collect evidence linked to the case.
