More than 25,000 visitors attend Bharat Parv 2026 in first three days

The cultural festival at Ekta Nagar showcases India's diverse crafts, cuisines, and traditional art forms until November 15.

More than 25,000 people visited the Bharat Parv 2026 festival at Ekta Nagar, near the Statue of Unity, during its first three days, according to reports by ANI and The News Mill.

Organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, in partnership with Gujarat Tourism, the event runs from November 1 to November 15.

The festival features pavilions from various states and Union Territories displaying handicrafts, handloom products, and art forms such as Odisha's Pattachitra paintings, Assam's Muga silk, and Bihar's Madhubani paintings.

Visitors can also view Gujarat's Patola and Ajrakh printing, Chhattisgarh's bamboo crafts, and shell art from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

A culinary section with 25 food stalls offers regional dishes including Rajasthan's Dal Baati and West Bengal's Jhalmuri, while IIHM Shimla and IIHM Gandhinagar conduct live cooking demonstrations.

Gujarat Tourism said the event is intended to boost tourism, foster cultural exchange, and offer a space for traditional artisans and regional food traditions.

The Statue of Unity will remain open on Monday, November 9, for the Diwali vacation and festival, though the viewing gallery will be closed.

The celebrations will continue at Ekta Nagar until November 15.
