Tamil Nadu CM Vijay felicitates Class 10 and 12 toppers in Chennai

The Chief Minister urged students to nurture individuality and stay away from drugs during a felicitation ceremony in Thiruvanmiyur.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay felicitated top-performing students of Class 10 and 12 public examinations on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at a function in Chennai, according to The Hindu.

The event, organised by the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), honoured toppers from 30 Assembly constituencies across the Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Tiruvannamalai, and Villupuram districts.

Speaking at the ceremony in Thiruvanmiyur, Vijay urged students to nurture their individuality, stay focused, and maintain conviction in their goals. He told the students that success is assured if they possess confidence and conviction.

The Chief Minister also advised the youngsters to avoid drugs and refrain from bribery and corruption. He said that by not becoming addicted to wrongdoings, students would encourage their peers to avoid similar habits.

Vijay stated he attended the meet-and-greet not in his capacity as Chief Minister but as an elder brother. He told the students to study well and achieve great heights before thinking about society.

He further advised students not to worry about obstacles, noting that such challenges often arise when others realise a person is going to succeed.
