Revolt Motors secures order for 1,100 electric bikes from Bihar Police
The company aims to complete the delivery of the BlazeX commuter motorcycles in Patna by the end of this month.
Revolt Motors, a subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises, has received an order from the Bihar Police to supply 1,100 units of its BlazeX commuter electric motorcycle, according to the Daily Excelsior.
While the official delivery deadline for the motorcycles in Patna is January next year, the company stated it is attempting to fulfill the order within this month.
Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd, said that securing this order is a significant step for the company and provides an opportunity to test products in real-world operating environments.
Rattan added that institutional adoption is a key way to expand the use of electric bikes across India.
The BlazeX model features a range of 150 km and can be charged via a standard 10A power socket. The motorcycle also includes a removable battery, under-seat storage for the charger, and inbuilt GPS for vehicle tracking.
The company noted that electric bikes provide savings for organisations due to lower maintenance and running costs compared to other options.
