Revolt Motors secures order for 1,100 electric bikes from Bihar Police
The company aims to complete the delivery of the BlazeX commuter motorcycles in Patna by the end of this month.
Revolt Motors, a subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises, said on Wednesday that it has received an order from Bihar Police for 1,100 units of its BlazeX commuter electric motorcycle.
According to the Daily Excelsior, the company is working to finish deliveries in Patna by the end of November, although the official deadline is January next year.
Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Ltd, said the order is a significant step for the company and provides an opportunity to test products in real-world operating environments.
Rattan noted that institutional adoption is a key way to increase the use of electric bikes across India.
The BlazeX model features a range of 150 km and can be charged via a standard 10A power socket. It also includes a removable battery and under-seat storage for the charger.
The electric motorcycle is equipped with inbuilt GPS for vehicle tracking and is intended for use in public-sector mobility and law enforcement operations.
